Poor kid. Held our system resposible for everyhting. Everyday the rich are getting more rich while the poor are getting more poor. I feel very bad for the kid. The picture is quite disturbing. And India was always a rich country....except the polititcians were poor(not in money) but in everything else

Nice blog. I was for a short while, a part of this organization. I still consider myself to be but I don't find much time to work there. I can tell you from experience (though short) that the zero rupee notes DO work. Apart from this, 5th Pillar also endorses the use of the RTI act because it can work wonders but people still haven't come to realize it's full value.

He could have done much more given the resources that he had access to, and the opportunities in India.

Growing from $100 million a year to $1.2 billion a year in total company revenues over almost 3 decades is not a great achievement. The compounded annual growth rate is negligible and he could have done much more. I feel he has missed on a lot of opportunities and could have consolidated his position as one of the world's top business leaders.

His sudden but late interest in expansions and acquisitions is interesting. He has redefined quality with Kingfisher Airlines, but I wonder why he has just one beer brand in Kingfisher when he had almost the entire Indian market in his hands.

He sure knows to live lavishly, but I hope he has been giving back to the society and the needy (Infosys and Wipro, the other 2 Bangalore based companies set impressive standards in doing so).

The Finance Minister, P. Chidambaram, has a poor understanding of India's history, I do not agree with that, he definitely has but like politicians he has double standards.

Famine is a political problem rather than real starvation? I am not sure which year are you talking about? 3008? In great continent of Africa, many people are still in the hope of emancipation from the starvation rather than slavery.
