Munnar is an excellent hill station for holiday trips. I just been there during my vacation trip to India. Though I have not narrated much, the pictures speaks by themselves.
Tea Plantation is all over Munnar, a worker collecting Tea Leaves…
In India, Infrastructure shortage is found everywhere there is too much of demand than supply
On Independence day, a poor boy begging, dressed up like Gandhiji.. I feel ashamed to see that we are still have major poverty issue in the Country after 60 years of independence.

A friend of mine had been to Munnar for his honeymoon. From the pics itself the place looked breathtaking.
Hmm…time for me to schedule on my next trip home.

Indeed.. an off season trip will be wonderful to see the places, though the rain was pouring most of the time, I enjoyed my trip, as the nature was more pleasent with rain and the cold weather!!
Munnar is not very popular holiday destination, compared with other places in the south, so the nature is still undistrubed!

Very nice pix. It is indeed sad to see a kid begging in the attire of the father of the nation. Politicians are fully responsible for perpetuating the problem deliberately- poor & illiterate population equates to pliable & captive vote bank.

Saibal,
Thanks for your comments. The poverty in india is a great advantage for politicians. I am surprised to read about our FM recent interview saying that India was never a rich country.

Poor kid. Held our system resposible for everyhting. Everyday the rich are getting more rich while the poor are getting more poor. I feel very bad for the kid. The picture is quite disturbing. And India was always a rich country….except the polititcians were poor(not in money) but in everything else
